Got 3 laps out back today....we picked up 4-6 in Northfield. The base is firm but edgeable with a few spots of ice found lurking on the main hiking trail up lift line. Not a breath of wind last night as the snow accumulated. Every branch and twig had a fat little pillow of snow caked on top of it. Stunning morning with warm temps and snow that bonded well to the base but was still very light. Almost perfect.
I skiied Downhill, Upper Lybrand, then lift line which is pretty burly for my xc skiis. Steeps on upper lift line were scratchy and firm feeling underfoot. Lower angle stuff was dreamy. Looking forward to some more snow over the next few and getting out on my fatties in some deeper snow, but we're in pretty good shape for now....
