The rain is pretty much finished within the next hour or two for the catskills so at least they aren't getting that 1-2 inches of rain that was expected. Possibly some snow showers in the morning followed by some good snowmaking temps, more snow showers thursday night into friday, and we should be in good shape for the weekend.

I am two valleys away from plattekill right now. We had mist to a drizzle on and off from about 3 pm to about 7 pm. It NCP'd hard for about 40 minutes at about 830. In the last hour I have seen the temps start to drop. I do not think there will be that much damage. The good news from this is that there is 3 inches in the forecast tomorrow with solid snowmaking temps for 30 hours after. Thursday looks really good.

We're near Bellayre plattekill Hunter etc

Yes, many areas took a hit with this rain but radar estimates show generally half an inch of rainfall last night. This latest storm is moving out with back-edge light upslope snow setting back up for the Dacks and lake effect for western resorts--some light snow showers skim by Bellayre/Hunter. Like others have said, we turn cold today and stay cold the rest of the week. Snowmaking efforts can resume to build things back up. Plus we get a chance at some light snow Friday with a couple of weak systems sliding through NY/New England. Hope that helps!

Thank you guys! Scotty--next week looks mainly cold...first half of next week looks even colder than this current stretch. With a deeper trough carving through, the storm frequency picks up but still generally from the west/southwest with less moisture to work with and heading out to sea--not the deep storm track curling in from the south. NY thru New England will still stand to get minor accumulations each time though--some lake effect trying to work in towards Gore with that next cold blast. The pattern flattens out somewhat late next week so not as cold but we'll still be watching occassional weak systems trying to work in from the west. We'll see--fingers crossed.
