I'm expecting a call today from an HR guy to schedule a day this week or right after Memorial Day for a job interview in Seattle. I'm pretty much a slam-dunk for the job. I told them I'd like to do a "try before you buy" thing where I started out telecommuting and they seemed OK with that. If you want to live close to skiing and salt water, that's the other option. If it works out, I'll toss my Killington condo in the rental pool until the housing market recovers, put everything I own into a moving truck, and figure out how to get my boat and 2 cars across the country. ...actually, I'd probably sell the SUV and just transport my VW.

Welcome back! Have you recovered from pork product withdrawl yet?

I'm on a freakin' diet from all the beer and BBQ over the last two months of spring skiing. I took that "eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we may die" thing too literally.

Off topic but I've been riding my bicycles instead of skiing. I'll start hiking when it dries out... probably this weekend. The Green Mountain Club asks people to stay off the trails at this time of year. In my off time, I scratch black fly bites. It's freakin' swarming at the moment. I've had a couple of times where I had to pull over because I couldn't clear the bug goo off my windshield and was flying blind. ...and I developed adult alergies around 15 years ago and I'm allergic to Vermont at this time of year.

Glad you are back and good luck with the job hunt. I found renting my condo was the best idea instead of selling at a really low price in a slow market.

Welcome back and good luck with interview.
+1. If Boeing weren't unionized, I'd probably be out there.

Just make sure if you head out there you still check in to keep HS in check, along with anyone else with harebrained Killington ideas.
