So as some of you saw in WARP's recovery thread, I proposed having a late season WARP Day at Whiteface (fairly centrally located to Warp vs. everyone in New England) sometime late in the season (late Mar / Early April is my thought). A day of hanging out with one of the board's best contributors, taking it easy on the greens and blues with him (Dr's Orders), and escaping for an occasional tougher run with some of the other board members.

As it is quite the ride for me (5+ hrs) I'm looking to do a Friday / Saturday type trip where I'll head up after work Thursday or Early Friday, ski Friday and Saturday, and either drive home Sat. night or Sun. (Possibly ski Sunday depending on how my legs feel)... in fact, a Sugarbush (or other NoVT) location might work out well for Sunday...

I know some here prefer Friday ski days, and others prefer Saturday ski days, so by sticking around for both, we/I could include more people.

A quick look at the Whiteface website shows that we can get group pricing with a group of 20+, so that might be something to aim for. (I can also try to work out a group hotel deal if people would like that)... Getting started this far in advance gives us some flexibility.

Please select some date(s) that work for you from the poll above and we'll start figuring this out.

I left 3/26-28 off as well as 4/9-11 as I have some fairly large fencing tournaments to run those weekends.

Also, if anyone local-ish to whiteface wants to chime in on this with historically better crowd avoidance days, cheaper hotel rates or anything like that, I would appreciate it.

For anyone curious, Easter is 4/4 this coming year.

Thanks!

My only concern about April at Whiteface is that there might not be alot of snow..and also less chance for the Slides to be open..for me personally I can't commit to a date that far in advance as most of my trips up north are pretty last minute...as I wouldn't drive that far if it's gonna be a washout or if there's better skiing at Stowe..but Easter weekend is usually a good one as it can be less crowded..my two cents..

Anyway Wayne..thanks for stepping up and trying to plan something!!!

I'd love to be able to do it, but it's just too far for me.

As I told WJENNESS the Queen and i being retired can be there almost any day except 4/2 -3 Easter Weekend .

We both appreciate that it is a haul for some and that may be an issue

The Queen and I sincerely appreciate all the moral support and good wishes we have received to date from my AZ friends---------like i've said many times--AZ'ers are tops "collecting friends makes one a rich man "

That is a ways off and I normally plan for Utah first week in March. So I chose March 13 or 20th. And I'll be looking forward to it!

After reading everyone elses blackout days so far I voted for March 12-13. I can't make it the 20th, but I will be at WF pretty much every weekend from opening till close unless something comes up.

It's really hard for me to predict this far in advance, but I also went with 3/12-3/13. I'd like to save the 1st weekend in April for Stratton again.
