I'm really looking forward to fall. I love seeing the leaves change and the cool crisp air gets my stoke level soaring for the upcoming season. I've had more then my fair share of fun this summer and I'm ready to move on.

you go boy!!!!! Aside from pushing around tombstones I haven't really exercised in a few weeks..I need to start hiking again..

well, the efforts there, but not the results. It's likely I'll still be a fat ass next winter, I'll just have a bit more muscle behind my outer warmth layer

The cold front came through Vermont last night. It's now completely comfortable out. 70F, low humidity, a little bit of a breeze, not a cloud in the sky. I'll take a couple o' months of this, pleezzze.

huh? i just played golf and it was down right HOT. more like 80* if u ask me...

I like those fall days when it's 40 degrees with rain falling sideways and a 25mph wind blowing leaves everywhere...that's about the time I switch from my flip flops to my tevas..and put the mesh shirt in storage..maybe it's because I'm mostly Russian and made for a cooler climate or maybe it's the permanent sweater on my chest..I don't know..but after seeing 40 year old virgin..I will not scream Kelly Clarkson!!!!

Here, Here. I enjoy the summer too. Another 2 months and the boat (and water skis) will get put away. 1 month of leaf duty and catching up on all other projects then I'll be ready to get the snow ski's out. Ideal starting date to me is between Nov 15 and Thanksgiving.

Well... there's about 18 cord there and I burn about 4.5 cord/season in my wood stove (on average). So 3 - 4 years worth. Sold about 3 cord already. That's just from cutting dead fall and dead standing timber and trimming the fencelines of 2 fields last winter. And yeah, my primary source of heat is an oil boiler, supplemented by the wood stove.

Wow, you're place is beginning to look like the Georgia Pacific lumber yard!
We would heat a 3BR Ranch with 5 cords, I'm guessing 1000 square feet all on one floor. My only problem was after working a long day, The house might be down to 50F and take a couple hours to warm up. The house had primary heat of electric which was basically left off$$$

My problem is that I'd much rather be skiing than splitting wood during the winter :)

I'm ready for winter . . . Fall blows . . . Picking up leaves sucks ass.

Just run the Killington Brewfest, Hunter Beer/Wine Festiival, and Whiteface Oktoberfest back to back next weekend, and I'll be good to skip till Thanksgiving.

Yeah, I could take weather like today for another month, month and a half. High 70's, low 80's but dry as a bone is just tremendously more tolerable than what we've been having. Low humidity is sooo key.

Winter can wait

I've got ten pounds to lose yet, hopefully 15.

no diet for me, I love food too much and don't like feeling restricted. All exercise
Ditto. Though I found that after over a month of exercising 4-5 times a week without adjusting diet only found me 2 lbs lighter. D'oh! I am starting to cut back now and I'm down 5 lbs over-all. Still have quite a bit more to go, but I need another 15 just to get to where I was at the end of the season. Yeah. That bad.

I'm really looking forward to fall. I love seeing the leaves change and the cool crisp air gets my stoke level soaring for the upcoming season. I've had more then my fair share of fun this summer and I'm ready to move on.

Beautiful today! I wouldn't mind summer if it were like this all summer long. Not that I'm wishing my life away... just can't stand high heat+humidity. Not built for that.
