A look at the Old Farmer's Almanac weather predictions for 2013:

-Northeast: Winter will be colder and drier than normal; spring will be warmer and drier in the north and warmer and wetter in the south; summer will be drier with average temperatures.

-Appalachians: Winter will bring lower temperatures and less precipitation while spring and summer will be warmer and drier than normal.

-Intermountain: Winter will be warmer and drier in the north but colder with above-average precipitation in the south. Spring will be cooler and drier and summer will be cooler and rainier than normal.



-Pacific Northwest: Winter will be warmer and drier than normal, while spring will be cooler with average rainfall and summer will be warmer and wetter than normal.

-Pacific Southwest: Winter will be warmer and drier than normal in the Bay Area but wetter elsewhere; spring will be drier with average temperatures; summer will see average rainfall and higher temperatures on the coast and cooler temperatures inland

If I recall, the Almanac last year said we were going to get dumped on end of January and February.. We all know how that turned out.

is there any regression analysis on this stuff? Because it sure feels like shit being shoveled on the reader.
