Everything in the area yesterday was bulletproof. We had a lot of rain and then a flash freeze about 5 am. Not good. Hopefully it will get groomed out and better today but not expecting much.

Kinda late for you last minute post, but here's a consideration for next week. NWS is forecasting 12+ inches for the MWV for 3/1. That should put black in great shape assuming no more washouts. I'm considering MWV for a pow day on tuesday, if they get 10+.

Woke up this am and saw Terry's post - thank you - and decided to go anyway. Terry was on the mark - bulletproof. It was the first time there in 31-32 years & honestly, I don't remember it at all. We got off to a late start and arrived around 10 - we had some equipment problems and skied from 11 to 2:30, it was tough but I kept reminding my son "a bad day of skiing is better than a good day in the office." medium-size mountain that I can understand can be a bunch of fun when the snow is good.

With that said, we'll be back. We had an equipment problem and the rental shop gave us a pair of skis at no charge for the day - thank you very, very much.

The area is definitely a throw-back. You can tell it was a farm - barb-wire everywhere. In fact, I saw some evidence that livestock may still graze on the hill during the summer - some insulators nailed to trees. narrow, curvy trails - good stuff for sure.

Jackson looks like a nice place to live between the nordic and alpine areas.

Plus, son-of-angus had the chance to ride a Poma!
