trying to escape the holiday crowds with the kids, my wife of all people suggested otis ridge. A coworker brings her kids there all the time and says its cheap and uncrowded. I was pushing for sundown but reading some reports of the crowds, i figured what the hell. We did the handle tow for a few runs and then my older daughter and i went up the double. Interesting off load ramp, probably the steepest thing on the hill. The run right under the double looked like it had potential but it was closed. looked poachable but that seemed kinda cheesy with my wife and kids there. anyway, we skied the green run, acorn off the top a bunch of times and then took a couple of blues which my daughter did fine on. very retro area but very family friendly with under 6 being free and the tickets for the rest of us only $20. I'll be back at sundown with them after the crowds thin out but this was a cool trip back in time. some pics to follow.

Glad to see another TR from Otis. Not a lot to write about, but like you said, a nice spin back in history. Plus money to a good cause - keeping it off Jeremy Davis' list!

I liked that line under the chair last winter.
