Speaking of Pats Peak, what's up with them closing during the weekdays so far this season? Wachusett has been open seven days a week for a while now, but Pats seems to be only opening on the weekends. Their snow report says they are closing for "maximum snowmaking", but why not let people ski under the guns if they want to.

Looks like this is pre-season for them and that this will end on Friday.

Pats is not in Central/Eastern Massachusetts.

There's no money to be had for them midweek until mid december.

Maximum snowmaking might also mean that their setting some guns up in places that require hoses to be stretched out a bit across the trail rather than near the hydrant to get some base put down in places that might normally require a bunch of diesel in a snow cat to push it there
