Pat's Peak Racing Week 2 - 1/10/11

With a team member abandoning us for Colorado, roark sent out a desperation email to try and get us enough skiers to field a team. We were able to get ga2ski and djspookman out of retirement.

The course looked pretty straight during inspection, but during my first run on the green course, I realized that there was a cranker at the bottom that I had to throw my skis sideways to make. Yellow course skied pretty much that same, and it held up better than last week.

roark skied cleanly, but wasn't satisfied with his results. ga2ski threw together random gear from house. He and djspookman put up solid times, and gave us good points with the tele handicap. Hammer is already showing improvement, and will continue to do so as he gets used to skiing gates.

thanks for having me back guys! last year at the Crotch just wasn't the same with the FREE POPCORN! at Pats. missed that!

Had a blast racing against ga2ski and feeling fast.. maybe next time I should make a tele turn at the gates?

Getting old guy points, but not skiing fast. Looking to improve, but had a blast. Biggest thing is I feel better. My cold is starting to go away.
Nice to meet DJS and Ga2ski looked like he always did, fast and smooth.

^^^ Indeed. Was nice to have most of the old crew back. As usual, could have used a power ranger fluffer. skibum had a reunion with a former orange tag, now harpoon girl.

You were fast dj, at least compared to crotched last year!

I will be there next Monday, but coming from Sunday River .Might try for a little earlier arrival and ski the rest of the trails for a change. thanks for doign the report skibum995. next Monday its my turn.

I have the day off so I may try to arrive earlier as well...depends on how long the family to-do list is...

I liked having the option to do a fun run after our "official" runs...is that a regular thing?

Have to work next Monday, but I think dj has it off (?) so we should be able to get there at a reasonable time.

Fun runs: pretty much a regular thing... obviously the Pats crew wants to get everything broken down and be on their way as fast as possible so you need to be there right when the regular racing is finishing up.

yes, I have Monday off, I'm most likely heading to Magic for the day, maybe with the little one, who knows.. but yes, should be able to get there earlyish due to that.
