72 isnt that hard at all. Many apps on the iphone will display top speed. Navionics's ski app is my favorite.

Plenty of apps will tell you a highly inaccurate top speed

I doubt it's that innacurrate, it should be withing 5MPH either way.

I think my top speed is somewhere in the mid-50's, maybe 60-ish. I start to get nervous in the upper 40's.

I find myself going a bit reckless trying to hit
Warp speed on my apps. Thinking of doing away with app skiing

+1 where were you and how did you measure your speed?

This is out here in Jackson, lots more space out here to let them rip. Groomed Cirque (actually the first time Ive ever seen it) which has plenty of space for a runnout.

I use ski tracks, which when Ive left it on for my drive home is accurate to within a couple MPH.

I also agree it wasnt that physically hard to do, mentally though it was more than enough.

I bet it was a great feeling when you slowed down and processed how fast you were just moving. After pushing the boundaries with speed I am always thankful when I have completed it and am still in one piece at the bottom.

On the news last night. I think they said, -48° w/windchill at Wildcat. Last year at Sugarbush it was -5° (base) & -14° (summit) at the beginning of our day. I think it got to about 5° for the high.
