Date(s) Skied: Sunday March 30, 2008
Ski Area: Pico Mountain - Mendon, VT
Conditions: Machine groomed PP on most trails. Where it wasn't groomed, a mix of tracked and packed powder.
Trip Report:
Another fine day of skiing at Pico Mountain. Seeing as it was the last day of operations and the fact that the value of the $49.00 lift ticket was the best around, I couldn't resist another day at the "friendly" mountain. Skied from 8:30am to about 2:15pm with a break for a long trail and a burger. Although my legs where a little tired after a big day on Saturday at Magic, I did manage to log a healthy 26,000 feet of descent.
The conditions where pretty darn good, packed powder on the groomers and plenty of soft powder snow in the glades and trees, much better than last Sunday's conditions. The weather last Sunday was stunning and although I thought it couldn't get any better, It did!! Just an amazing day to be outside sliding down a hill.
Here's some pictures. Enjoy!

The weather was so nice, this porcupine (upper left center in picture) decided to take a mid afternoon nap, soak in some of the warm spring sun and enjoy the skiers and riders coming down the pike.
