My plans are:

Day trips: Sunapee, Beast, Ragged
Mid Winter 2-3 day trips: Killington and MRV
School Trip: Stowe in late March/early April
Other possible 3 day trips: Burke/Jay, Waterville
Also possibly a few day trips to Killington, have a buddy going to college near there

To early for me to be making any day trips. If we have another winter like this...well lets not go there! My family and I will probobly make a trip up to Jay again. Watch out for Ragged. Once we when after a big storm and the glades were awsome. Next time we went they were reporting snow, it was hail. They said the average base depth was 24-36 inches. There barley was a base. Flying Yankee i think it was, was all dirt and rocks. Anyway hit it on a good day and it will be tons of fun.

Well, this is a bit different that the #1 destination thread, I guess, so here goes:

Extended trips:
  • Sugarbush
  • Hopefully Sugarloaf, maybe pre-reggae
  • Maybe Loon
  • Whiteface for a night or two
Day trips:
  • Sundown
  • Hunter
  • Jiminy
  • Catamount
  • Butternut, maybe
  • Berkshire East, if we get the snow
  • Mad River Glen (during the Sugarbush trip)
  • Hopefully Cannon (during the Loon trip)
  • Would like to get back to Magic
  • Maybe Killington
  • Maybe Mount Snow for an AZ day
If I can get in 25+ days among the above ski areas, I'll be happy.

Never too early to start planning next season ;)

Definitely Thanksgiving in NH, one week in Alps or Utah (I'd like to do both, but not sure yet...).

Sundays at Windham
Day trips: Stratton, Okemo, Mount Snow, Hunter, Belleayre
Extended trips: Killington/Pico, Sugarbush

I may come up with more stuff during the season, depending how it goes. I'd like to go to Mont Tremblant but nor sure about that yet.

Our plans are still up in the air. The only sure thing is that we have All East passes, so we'll get in some days at those mountains. We don't know where we'll be living.

Sure thing: November days at Killington

Boston option: use our passes a lot, mostly at Sugarloaf; side trips to several of Sugarbush, Jay, Shawnee, Saddleback, Wildcat, Cannon

Burlington option: passes, much less Loaf :-( + N VT and the townships

Uncertain: whether we get out West

Not in the cards: other continents

oh where oh where should I go................

Local Skiing: SB, Jay, MRG, bolton backcountry, and some presidentials. Need to get to Burke.

For big trips: typically these days it is one touring trip, one big mountain trip and one pow trip (cat ski). Try for the three big trips to just really focus on being a skier and forgetting everything else.

This season the touring trip is Sorcerer Lodge (April 20 - 29). That one is booked.

Big mountain will be La Grave, with possibly the AMGA ski guide course linked with that trip.

Pow will be the Nelson area with Valhalla, or White Grizzley or Selkirk Wilderness.

The wild card is the AMGA ski guide course--gotta fit that in to the schedule.

Anyone interested in joining the Sorcerer trip (this could be you all the way Riv) or La Grave, send me a note.

Daytrips:

30+ to Whiteface
5 or so to Gunstock
5 or so to Sunapee
10 or so to Cannon

Weekends:

2 times to Gore with my buddies from North Creek

Extended:

Spring break in Crested Butte

Im looking forward to my first trip out west. My aunt just married a guy with a rediculous house at the base of Crested Butte. Should be incredible.

I don't have any planned trips, I'm probably gonna mostly play it by ear. Actually a Whiteface trip might be in the works. I'd also really like to make it up to Burke to ski with some fellow AZers.

Planned Trips

Winter Break- Whiteface - 10 days (Skyward and Cloudspin/Niagra better be open)
Spring Break - Alta ( anybody got any good tips for trails not to miss if Upper Cloud and Upper Skyward are my fav. trails at whiteface?)

Day trips- Bellayre, Plattekill as often as possible

I held out all summer long but i can't hold it any longer - I'm jonesing for the winter really badly! So badly in fact that I'm buying new boots to satisfy the craving.

Well, I can check the last item off my list. A week in the MRV is already planned for early March. Sugarloaf and Whiteface may be a stretch, but I hope to do some overnighters in the MRV and maybe the Burke/Cannon area.
