Conditions: MG/PP, got scratchy late.

On the lift by 9:15, quick break for lunch, skied until 4:00.
Making snow on Lower Face (terrian park) and Upper Plunge. They reported Upper Plunge and Giant Slalom as opened. Upper Plunge had large snow making piles that were soft and very skiable until it meets Giant Slalom which had snow making piles that were hard and choppy with some ice in between them, was manageable but I would have classified as open, the middle section of Plunge was natural snow only, Lower Plunge was MG/PP.

Upper Face to Lower Face, Upper Northface to BloLower Northface, Bumps to Blockbuster were fantastic all day. The run/trail of the day was Blockbuster. The skiers left on Blockbuster had nice soft snow all day.

Only my 2nd day at Platty this year, never disappointed.

They were having problems with the triple chair mid-afternoon, it was down for approx. 45 minutes.

My only complaint with Plattekill is when they have large crowd (for Plattekill) the queue area around the triple chair is a disaster, they have the ski racks to close to the lift line and they don't do a good job of organising this area. I realize they don't have much real estate at this spot, but all beginners have to walk through this area to access the learning center and you get additional non-skiers walk in through as well, people sitting on the ground, skiers/boarders put their equipment on and off, skis left on the snow, it's accident waiting to happen.
