The only thing I have to say at this point is that I'm going to be skiing Killington long after this wave of lightweight management is gone. This photo shows quite well how much they have alienated their customer base. The next lean snow year, these guys are all going to end up getting fired.

Must've captured the height of the party. I think that's the most people I saw at the Kzone site all day.

how'd you do? was the course rock hard
I choked, crossed my tips. Worst part was there being two hours between my last practice run and the qualifying run, might as well have not practiced. Course was fine, top layer of ice scraped off as granular pretty well and made the bumps fairly soft. Getting there was a little interesting; they actually had OL closed at one point, then the ambassadors threatened to pull passes of the competitors that skied it anyways. Just more BS of the joke that BMMC has become. There were more spectators at Sundown.

Not sure where the results are. There were still around 175 competitors, but there were very few complete hacks. There were several comments on how deep the fields was, as in the highest skill level ever.

One theory was that seeing as how none of the hacks that would've normally registered as part of the party did so, there were more spots left open for good skiers.

crazy

I remember THOUSANDS of people going to that event every year that I went in the early 90's.

As much as it's going annoying reading the never ending anti POWDR threads, it's clear they haven't a clue what their doing if they've turned the premier skiing event in the Northeast into a joke. such a shame

.

So i was poking around kmarts website looking for the results and found this concerning the bmmc. I wonder if these guys actually showed up and tried to film the one group of people grilling.

From K's website

Grill Masters
Capturing all the grilling action at the Bud Light Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge will be a new reality program called Grillseekers, a 30 minute show that seeks out the food, fun and culture throughout New England!

Camera crews will be taping all the action with its crazy host Michael Petit seeking our passionate grillers on the mountain. Grillseekers resident Chef "Big Grill Johnny" will also be looking for great recipes and grilling gadgets at the event and Friday night at the Wobbly Barn.

Whoa whoa whoa. You're not getting off that easy. We want play by play. ;)
But no one was there to capture the video, to be put into slow motion with sound effects later on.

The left line had some funkiness below the top kicker, basically there were two right bumps without corresponding left bumps before the line settled down. After the second turn to the right without a bump, I wedged a little and crossed tips. Went down. Finshed my run ok, but skied like crap anyways.

Bummer. At least you gave it a go.
