I've alway liked it - since its a former dh area, it has a nice variety of terrain and also provides good access into some good bc. Definitely lacks the glitz & glamour of some other places, which is a plus in my book. Its in a pretty good snowbelt for southern vt.

The wife and I stopped by a couple of years ago since she is a cross country coach. It's become very popular, that's why we stopped. Talked to a guy doing some painting(it was in the summer) who told us it was doing well.

We did take a short walk, the views once you get alittle elevation are amazing. Once you get out of the Troy mess probably no more than 45 min drive for you. Well worth an afternoon plus you can hit the Blue Benn Diner for breakfast on the way thru.

Oh we have gone by this place so many times, as we have been going to Snow for many years and we're passholders. It's a very short drive for us from Troy-let. I think I'll give it a try!

AMF, have you ever snowshoed there?

Never snowshoed, but the trails were generally wide & the owner seemed pretty laid back about use of the area, so I'm sure he would have some accomodation. If not, there is a state park just past there that has some good trails for snowshoeing - parking can be an issue, though.

It says on one of pages attached to the site,
"There are also special snowshoeing and classical skiing trails"
