Any day (or night) skiing is better than the skiing in July in New England.

I'm not saying that I don't ski in all conditions. I'll ski in any conditions and I go for quantity, but I still prefer quality.Tyrolean_skier said:For me, it is quantity over quality. If you ski in all conditions, then those powder days become so much more appreciated.
Likewise. This was sort of what I was getting at when faced with a non-quality day.awf170 said:Another thing to add is if I can't have quality I atleast want something that is really hard. For example a weeks ago at Wildcat I just lapped the same run even though it was half blue ice and bare spots because it atleast made me think and got me scared every once in a while.
Well said, Bob. I guess the question here is would you sacrifice quantity for quality. In reality (and luckily) this isn't a decision we must face. I don't know that many of us would just not go skiing if it's not an epic day. Just ski. The great days will come.Bob R said:Quantity over quality. Quality follows anyway. If you get a lot of days out, you get the quality anyway cause you were already there. sitting at 55 days.
Nice post loafer and inspiring. My oldest daughter starts next year. Can't wait. Oh and I guess your quantity will likely increase next year, eh?loafer89 said:I could care less either way as long as I am having fun sharing the alpine experience with my son. Non quality skiing, ie bad weather or icy conditions make him a stronger skier and realize that not every day can have ideal conditions. Living where I do makes it harder to get to a ski area when conditions are ideal due to the long distance drives involved. Skiing for me is only part of the equation as I love snow just as much as I love skiing.
Out of my 18 days so far, I would say that 14 where of great quality, with the rest being so so, but still fun. Next year we hope to double our days out together

I've done both. Not really that good at golf, but I've played. I can see the appeal, but it doesn't even compare the the thrill and satisfaction of skiing. Not even close. And if you don't smarten up Chile, I'll be forced to can you.... :evil:ChileMass said:Insane. Wrong. Nope - dead wrong. NFW. Obviously you need to work on your golf game. Will that many of you really be inside cowering from the heat until October? I'll be outside in the sun getting a tan and working on my short game, thanks........
