Ragged Mountain 1/29/11

I was headed for something new this weekend. After consulting a few friends I decided to head south to Ragged. Driving down I did not really know what to expect.

As I pulled into the access road I was greeted with the view of the slopes of Ragged, some pre ski vibe.

The lodge was pleasant and nicely organized with some of the highest quality staff I have ever found anywhere. I liked the old barn theme.

The tree runs were great. Great. I was so surprised, I spent a lot of time hitting Peels, to Riches. Another great tree run was Devils Den. At the end of the day Birches provided some nice bumps, and with another foot of snow this place is going to ski awesome.

I enjoyed my trip, this is great small area and I will be back.

Looks pretty good, but you are hurting my neck with the sideways pictures.

I like the relaxed vibe at Ragged. I haven't gotten up there yet this season, but I need to find a day and get out there. They are usually slow to get all their trails open, but it looks like everything is up and running now.

Yes they had all, but one trail open. It was curious though, they have some trails with signs that don't show up on the trail map.

I was there too. I had a blast mostly cruising. I didn't hit the woods but have in the past. Some people on the lifts said it was crusty or poor coverage in the woods so it led me astray. I liked sweepstakes a lot. It's a good little mountain. First time I used the phresheez app on my phone. I says I hit 52mph on Lower Exhibition.

Headed to Cannon today for 1/2 day. I will do some glades!
