Sunny, low 30's. Can't get much better weatherwise.
Arrived on the later side around 10:30 and was put in parking lot 3. Made me a little nervous about crowds (I've got a major crowd phobia when it comes to skiing). Turns out there was a big youth race on Flying Yankee (closed for the race) so a good half of the cars were there for that.Lines were fairly brief on the six-pack (five minute max. - most runs much less.)
Groomers had done a nice job on the surface considering the torrential r%!n on Friday. The majority of the green and Blue terrain was open along with the park. There were four legit top to bottom ways down the mountain, Exhibition, Newfound Ridge, Lower Chute, Lower Ridge. Exhibition was the best of the bunch. They all skied fairly well, firm to plain old hardpack not enough loose to pile up on the edges to play in. Intersections were a little bit of a goat rodeo but other than that there wasn't any problem navigating crowds. Small traffic jam as the races were over and the young 'uns were heading over to the park for a couple of runs.
The only black trail open was Showboat (under the Spear Mountain Triple). It was OK but the steeper sections were all scraped off.
Fine day overall.
