I am planning to hit Sco today...

** I am open to consider other rides as well. I've done a majority of riding out here this year and I would love to hit Case or WH.. or something new.. different.. however Mondays are pretty quiet around here.. so.. the plan is.. Sco @ 6pm.

As is the Biker's Edge gang.. for 6pm.

MONDAY NIGHT August 17th we will be riding in Burlington at the junction of Rt 69 and Scoville Rd.See you there at 6:00. We will break up into a variety of groups to ensure all will have a fun time riding at their pace. Please bring a great attitude and expect lots of fun. See you at 6:00.

As much as Bob doesn't seem to give a hoot about the NBWD...I don't think parking at Scoville "en masse" is a great idea. There will be 30 cars there...minimum! With such a large turnout, it could easily be a day where the WD makes a statement...hopefully not though! I'd park at the "Batcave" if I were you Trev. Meet them on Scoville with your bike.

My buddy rode from Scoville on Saturday and saw NBWD trucks "casing" him out. They drove by twice and he left before he was approached. If they're checking things out on Saturday...a Monday night is not out of the question.

Yea - parked there(Sco) with everyone else tonight, no tickets.

Curious though, many of the folks there didn't even want to be bothered with the conversation.. they are not taking it even partially serious.. made me wonder why.. but.. whatever.

Bat cave isn't far off for next time

My new parking spot is just fine. And legal. Not a lot of room for more than 4 cars, but I usually don't ride with a big group anyway.

I totally can see that nobody would care or engage in talk of the NBWD while there tonight. If they were trying to abide by what the WD wanted, they wouldn't be parking there. I just hope that this scenario does not turn into what has happened with South Mtn. It used to be a HOT BED of riding activity for local riders...it got beat by heavy motorized traffic and ALSO the NBWD began cracking down on riding there (along with Bristol Fish and Game)...I haven't seen the Edge post a ride to South Mtn in over a year...and they don't go there as frequently as they used to. They didn't care about the heat there either and they stuck their noses up in the air to them and rode anyways...until it got too hot. At this point, there is some sort of enforcement officer up in those woods on an ATV REGULARLY. You'll hear from others in their group that they don't ride there anymore because it sucks...but, in the end, riders were run out of there. That can't totally happen at Nass. But, openly defiant behavior to a landowners wish will only lead to problems. I hate to sound preachy...because I will still ride the entire network there...but, being more discreet about it right now is the order of the day in my opinion.

Agreed. I haven't parked on Scoville Road in several weeks.

I don't really get the big rides anyway. 3 or 4 guys is perfect.

Agreed.. and to be frank I parked at Sco because I am not all that familiar with the area and available parking.. what is what etc... I know there is a super secret spot that is apparently not far off. I have a generalized PM of the location but.. I am not familiar at all with the land.. zones.. ownership.. etc.. I've parked only there.. besides one trip to Stone.

-- Either way yea, it's my responsibility, agreed.

The noses up in the air.. interesting.. almost felt that way during some quick discussions too.. not going to get into it in an open forum here. but they do have their groups.. or as I see it/call it.. social classes :)

Hope this blows over quickly...
