Not to quibble, but Jay Peak is not 4000 feet, either in peak elevation or vertical drop. It certainly has soul though.

My heart (and the rest of me too) is in the Mad River Valley, but I love and visit Stowe, Jay, and Smuggs. If we start include bc destinations, then the Presidentials and Chic Chocs need mention.

To a certain extent, soul is where you bring it. You could be in the coolest place on earth with a bad attitude and never feel a bit of spirit energy.

i agree whole heartedly! Mnts that haven't swtiched over to the Intrawest McBuisness model totaly get vote, no matter where they are. The two New York State owned ones(Gore and Whiteface) are a grewat example of this.
