Are you more likely to ski really early season (early November) or really late season (let's just say early May)? It seems I'm more likely to ski really early season as that's when the ski jones overshadows common sense. We all know early season is normally crappy variable manmade snow while late season has warmer temps and corn snow or bumps, but usually for me once mid to late April arrives, I start to focus on other things. And again, by November, I'm so pumped for ski season that any skiing is good skiing. You?

I ski both. This past season, late was the better of the two. Early season was tough to say the least.

Late. I think I've only once skied pre-Thanksgiving. I've skied in May a few times, including as late as Memorial Day weekend (all lift-serviced).

I do both. In my world, it's all skiing all the time. I agree that late season is usually better than early season but, as Greg said, once the ski jones hits in late fall, I just gotta get out & do some turns.

Just be happy your jones doesn't hit until late fall. I'm already there (not really, but I feel the onset of it).

UsuallyI early season has man made snow only. Limited trail options and coverage and crowds.
Late season we can hike and earn turns. I like late season better. I go as early as possible and late as possible.

I get out a couple of times early season to get the jones out, but I do a lot more skiing in the spring. Spring always feels like a race to get as much in before the season ends.

I try for both...but this year was the first year I didn't ski at all in nov in the last decade. If you held a gun to my head and made me choose one or the other, it would be late season...warm, soft, etc. I've had some great powder days in November over the years...but they are fewer and further between than the good spring days. Always have that push in April knowing that its going to end soon...get it while you still can.

It's not up to me it is up to the weather!!!!

If there is snow in early November I am there! If there is snow in May I am there!

Sadly last season there was no snow and no early skiing. This year I April 29th was my last day so I didn't make May.

I'd say early season for me. We're usually jonesin' to ski and axiously await reasonable conditions within a reasonable drive. Sometime in late March/early April the golf bug kicks in and I've usually blown all the vacation days I can on skiing so I get restricted to day trips.

My last few seasons have been October through June or July, so I say I ski both equally. However, I am MUCH less likely to feel the need to ski both Saturday and Sunday in say November or December compared to March or April when ski areas have better snow, more trails open, and better terrain. I would trade two days up front in November for lift serviced on the back end. But then again, I'll be skiing regardless of lifts when there is snow.
