It took until mid-December this year, but I'm finally feeling a good pace in terms of skiing. After tomorrow I will have logged 6 outings in the past two weeks. It finally feel like ski season is firmly here despite the rough start. Here's to the next 4+ months:

Happy holidays everyone. :)

I felt real good on my last outing (#4). My Jet Fuels ski way differently then my Crossfires, so I still have some growing to do, and I'm really excited to do it.

Happy Holidays

Came into this month with a bucket full of vacation days; use 'em or loose 'em.

Skied 9 of the last 14 days

Got a 4 day strech of no-ski due to the holidays and travel. Mentally feels weird. Then Its 3 days at WF!

Happy and safe holidays to all.

I'm still not comfortable yet, I think it's my conditioning (or lack thereof). That will improve over the next month as I won't be working so much, so I can get back into the gym.

I hear that. I felt pretty good after day one so I went out for day two on 1 day of rest and I could really feel it by the end. My conditioning is not even close to what it was last year (plus I am skiing on an extra 20 pounds I gained over the last 9 months of not working out due to a shoulder injury). It will only get better from here!

I hear ya' Greg...but man do I ever wanna pick up some other skis. Think I need a little toe shimming for little better balance, but these burly, old-sidecut 00' Vertigo G3s. So nice at flying through pow...but one has to really climb on these things to make em' work for short-radius enjoyment. Gives a nice lively kick, but the effort needed just isn't turning me one like in years past... Whining turned off..

Despite the setback with my knee with really bad timing, I'm feeling pretty good. Even though it was only my 2nd time out skiing this season and both were short sessions, it felt great. THIS is why I ski! :D
