Some of the pics in this thread REALLY have me appreciating the advances in plastics and injection moulding technology, not to mention a better understanding of leg/foot anatomy in the last few decades!

My first pair of boots were Hansons back in the early eighties. My feet hurt just thinking about them.

My feet loved them. They were much more comfortable than any other boot I'd used before. Our dog loved them too- chewed off the sqiushy liner that peeked out of the top. :sad:

I had Hanson Avantis with the wax fit system where they injected liquified wax into the bladders. The best thing about the design was you'd shear the top buckle before tearing an ACL. If you turned their logo upside-down, it said "U.SUCK"
