Cuz that's lame. Wait until at least it's common knowledge via NBC...

Just checking... Even if you label the title SPOILER ALERT, you still do not want event results posted ahead of NBC's delayed coverage?

At least don't put a competitor's name in the subject line with a spoiler alert, please!

Even though the Google news page ruined for me before I checked AZ. :(

If you absolutely have to post something before the NBC coverage, please title the thread as a spoiler, do not include any results in the title itself, and we should be good.

How about twitter and facebook - Universal Sports and Breaking News is sending results to me there too... I propose that you use AZ to scoop them at their own game. AZ can be a hub instead of riding coattails. These are not spoilers, they are ahead of the wave. Think of the advertising possibilities with the wealth of skiing knowledge AZers can bring to the results.

I don't even watch the Olympics on TV and agree with Greg on this one. Part of the excitement of watching sports on TV is not knowing what is going to happen... even if it is pre-recorded. Its just good form to not post a spoiler when you tuned into a foreign channel to see it live when most people do not have that option. You are only ruining the same excitement you had for everyone else.

So the people who want to enjoy watching it the way NBC is offering it are the bad guys on this one? I don't think it's asking a lot that the thread title doesn't give away the results.

I hate that NBC decided not to stream everything live like they did for Beijing. It's really too bad.

OK, that's just dumb.

Sorry - thought I was sharing the excitement.
Here is a link to some of the online European (and other) TV feeds. It is free. You have to check back at various times, sometimes reload, sometimes install a browser add-on.

It really is a shame... NBC did this for the summer games in Beijing, but for whatever reason (probably $$$) decided not to this time around.

I really enjoyed watching my friends fencing in Beijing live. It meant staying up until 1:00/2:00 in the morning, but it was a lot of fun.

This time, where the Olympics are in the pacific time zone, it wouldn't even take being up that late.

I suppose I should be clear.

I'm all for threads talking about whatever happens (even before it gets broadcast), as long as the threat title isn't "campgottagopee takes gold in 15k biathlon!"

Well, if that thread came out you'd know it was a lie to begin with :p

I'm sure I'd be like bronze or something

CBC no longer ownes the Canadian broadcast rites to the Olympics.

Olympic coverage is now one 12 hour Today Show. Disgusting.

Sorry - thought I was sharing the excitement.

You are!!! But we're not all in synch... Put the spoiler alert on the title and people will join in after they see it.. And be psyched with you.
