Now is your opportunity to purchase a legend. Trailboss Realty announces that Stowe Mountain Resort is for sale. Large, modern resort complete with overpriced accomodations, upgraded snowmaking and lift infrastructure, and a reputation that is worth millions. Take advantage of this unique opportunity, compliments of the subprime crisis!

Majority owner: Uncle Sam and the American Taxpayer.

Stowe is probably the LAST thing on the Fed's or AIG's mind right now.

You usually don't get good value for a ski resort when you sell it at a firesale. AIG just assumed $85 billion in debt. I would imagine that everything in the AIG asset portfolio is for sale and that certainly includes Stowe. In the current climate, I'd be amazed if they found a buyer.

Whatever Marc bids, I match it plus a dollar.
I reserve the right to retract this offer if Marc makes a real bid.

Lets form the AIG corp (Alpine Zone Internet Group), threaten to file for bankruptcy and see if we can get some federal funds.

Marc, Ben B. here...Tell me more - offer isn't just cash, but how you plan to operate it. Would you cut ticket prices? Turn the grande hotel into a ski dorm for $20/night? camping in the parking lot?

I'm fairly certain that when Marc takes ownership his first order of business will be to get his mountain top brothel concept in the works.

All of the above. Plus introducing segregation of the ski community- all yuppies at spruce peak (including the new hotel/condos/development), all others on Mansfield.

Sonuvabitch. I'm going to have to bid you into bankruptcy just out of spite, then. One dollar at a time.

I'll take this one.

How's the best way to put this.... not a snowflake's chance in hell?
