Road to Carriage Road TH Status?

Does anyone know if the road to the Carriage Rd. TH on Moosilauke is plowed during the winter?

Next time Mr. M. checks in I'm confident he'll have an answer as a DOC member with More Moosilauke trips than many people have 4K's.

The road is plowed at least to the last house. After that it's sometimes a bit sketchy, but rarely a walk of more then 1/2 mile. Parking can get interesting, an AWD vehicle can come in handy. Usually there is a parking spot plowed out near the old hotel site, but sometimes the plows quit before that and you park as best you can.

It should be in fine form. I'm planning on skiing it next weekend. This weekend I'm headed to VT, which has even more snow.

Thank You Dave. As mentioned in another thread, the big M is one of just six that I've just been to twice, a fact I should be ashamed of since it's such a great peak & the summer trailheads are pretty high too. (Need Seven for 48 X 3 seasons but I've been to Zealand twice in the Spring)
