According to the video in this thread, the glade was actually cut by guys that do not appear to be skiers (though it seemed to have been flagged by a guy that knew what he was doing). Glad to hear good reports about the glade. Can't wait to get some later this season!

Casablanca getting great reviews....

One last dose of light snow will be followed by a bright and sunny, but very cold weekend. Jay Peak VT has quietly picked-up 6" in occasional snow showers since Wednesday night and Saddleback ME was surprised with 2" of silky powder on its upper slopes on Thursday. Saddleback's new Casablanca glade (with terrain ranging from wide-open Colorado-style gladed areas to tight tree lines) is filled with snow and getting rave reviews from our snow reporters: "Best terrain in the East, nothing like it it in the East, better than the Sugarloaf Snowfields". Bundle-up: Frostbite Alert for upper slopes Saturday and Sunday mornings. Keep an eye on Mount Snow VT and Crotched Mountain NH for a possible small upside to our snowfall projections. Scroll down for detailed snowfall projections and our tell it like it is ski report.
