"Despite our very wet summer we have accomplished a lot on the Mountain! The biggest addition is Casablanca; our new 44-acre double black diamond glade between Black Beauty and Muleskinner - the true Saddleback difference! Casablanca is the largest glade in the Northeast and it has it all: chutes, steeps and tight lines. There is so much space that you will think you have the place to yourself. The on-mountain trail crews also predict that the nature of how the glade lays on the mountain it will catch, keep, and hold large quantities of snow.
We will open our 66th trail, a single black diamond called 'Family Secret,' too.
Summer trail grooming with our large Komatsu Excavator has been very efficient. You will see real improvements on Dazzler, Governor, Frostbite and Black Beauty. There have been a lot of improvements to the ski-in, ski-out access from our condos by Green Drake, Black Gnat, Mountain Brook and Magalloway. We can't wait to share these changes with you on our scheduled opening, Thanksgiving Weekend, November 27."
