I keep on hearing about Saddleback expanding, but if they arent considering high dpeed lifts it may not get people to come? Anyone else no about the expansion

at their website on the trail map it shows where the proposed lifts are going to go.

Sometimes high speed lifts can be overrated. Folks who focus ONLY on the speed of a lift are missing many other dimensions to the sport. There's more to skiing than just the lifts.

Well look at smuggs, they are fine without high speeds. I think if they put in fixed grip quads they would be fine. I realize the general public wants quads now but do they really know/notice/or care the difference between high speed and fixed grip?

I go to ski, not to ride lifts. (Although the Kennebago is worth the ride.) If you think HS lifts are important, you're missing th epoint of Saddleback. What Riv said

When I ski at Saddleback, I really miss the lift lines, the crowds, the steep prices, the beginner yard sales. I also miss needing to be first on the lift to get first tracks and I miss having only one or two good trail choices.

Oh, but I do enjoy the sub-zero days, as long as I remember to "add an extra layer..."

Great place.
