Saving Horstman Glacier

I was reading an interesting article from last month about a plan by Intrawest to stop/slow down the melting of Horstman Glacier on Whistler Mountain by using snowmaking and snow fences.

Interesting article, sounds like an ambitious project... I wonder if they'll go through with it? Making snow on the glacier to preserve it sounds kinda lame IMHO...

yes it is lame, but what else can they do, if they lose this glacier they lose all of there summer camps, which causes money loss
