I figured I'll start the scheduled opening day thread this year.

Belleayre's website says their tentative opening date is November 14th.

I'd really be thinking it's all going to depend on the weather. It IS looking like a good trend so far this year tho.

Just gotta hope for the mid-November cold blast again. Last year kicked off in good shape.

I think it's *awesome* that K and SR may be in a race to get SOMETHING open early. I just hope in their efforts, they can at least bust even during the attempt, so it can happen more in future years. :-D

That's because Killington's new management stopped playing!

Sunday River can always open earlier if they want to. They have a north-facing fixed-grip lift with a midstation that services intermediate terrain. It doesn't take much to get the top section of T2 open. Until Killington has a better lift layout for downloading, they're going lose this battle most years.
