Let's see...

There was a day in mid-late February where I was able to take Outer Limits in thirds, only stopping to catch my breath; conditions were pretty good that day, decently spaced bumps that were relatively soft. Can't do it in non-ideal conditions, but it was a decent feeling of accomplishment.

Bear Challenge day, I was tearing up Needle's lift line. Again, good conditions, but still a good improvement over days earlier in the year. Always a good feeling when you get comments from people on the lift that don't involve crashing. Wish I could ski that way every day; hands out in front, good A&E, eyes down the line.

And the Sundown bump comp. Just a fun day.

Two of the best highlights of my season are:

Number one: Being with THE Goddess of Mogul Skiing - Donna Weinbrecht and her family in October when she was inducted into the Vermont Ski Hall of Fame.

Second one: Getting Donna Weinbrecht inducted into the Sussex County Sports Hall of Fame in her home state of New Jersey in November. Donna has the honor of being THE first skier to be inducted.
I have to thank several friends who are members of the New Jersey Ski Racing Association for helping me make this one happen.

Finally making it to Mad River Glen was definitely the highpoint. Bluebird day in late March, can't wait to go back again. Second favorite was this past Wednesday 4/16 at Okemo with my daughter. She asked to get out one more time because she "just didn't want this winter to end" and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect spring day on the mountain. Her enthusiasm was infectious and she's really becoming a ski junkie! Kinda makes a dad proud.

This is an easy one to answer:

If you listen closely, you can hear her humming to herself the whole way. :)

The high point to my season is the fact it's not over yet. I'm getting ready to head to the Loaf now. I don't know exactly how many days I've been out this year but it's between 45-50. Last year was my previous high of 18 days so I'm pretty psyched to have smashed that.

Hmmmm...tough call. Making it into Wa's "Good Race" was cool, and the sensation of racing that day was amazing.

I think skiing @ Stratton was my highlight though. First time there, mid-week March...nobody there, bluebird day, fabulous snow. Tough to beat.

As of Friday, it was Friday at Sugarbush...not a cloud in the sky, 70 degres, t-shirts, bikinis, and apres in the sun

As of today, it's yesterday at Stowe. More of the same, and it being the last day of my season, each run came with a sense of urgency and relishing. Another perfect ending. Wish I could bottle those days.

Too many good days, moments to pick just one. Most of the season was a high point for me.

I really can't pick just one high point for the season. A big powder day at Mt Baker a couple of days before Christmas stands out. I had another nice powder day at a completely deserted Eldora that was memorable. The tree skiing at Kmart was really good this year with lots of untracked runs. December 31st and January 1st were great. The spring skiing at Kmart last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday was as good as it always is every year.

Highlights...

would be:

1) skiing with my 3 year old daughter with a harness on Sugarbush's Village Double, then at bedtime singing again and again the "chairlift song" I made up for her, starring her. "Daddy, sing me the chairlift song...."

2) Heli-Ski trip to Valdez / Chugach mountains. Ridonculous terrain, snow, skiing. The zenith of my 41 years skiing on this planet.

OK, both of those trump my "real warm day at Stowe" highlight. Nice stuff.
