My wife and I skied at Shawnee from 9:00 till the east side closed at 4:00. It was a gorgeous day- not a cloud in the sky. The weatherman said that it would be brutally cold but it was just right. No wind, and sunshine. The conditions were machine groomed loose granular but it skied very good. Anything ungroomed had a thick layer of crust on it though. But thats ok because I just wanted to give the knee a good workout but not overkill it. We skied most of the day with friends Jeff Coffin of Stump movies fame, Nancy, Bruce Cole - who headed up the freestyle team at Shawnee in the 70's and Jody. Skiing with Bruce and Jeff is allways fun as they are just incredible skiers! It was just an awesome day with friends! The crowds were very light. No lift lines at all all day. I don't know if it was the supposed cold that kept the crowds away, or the rain that we got on wed but the mt recovered nicely. It was the first day that I have been able to ski without knee pain. YAYYY. We are going back this morning and skiing till mid afternoon when we are going to a Daytona 500 party. All in all a great weekend!

How was the skiing Sunday? Was the crust softening up any on the ungroomed? I supposed after today it won't matter. :-/. Thanks for the report.
