Resort or Ski Area: Shawnee Peak
Conditions: PP / LG / some Hardpack
Trip Report: Did a quick evening trip to with some co-workers Shawnee Peak. Very enjoyable. Temps in the upper 20's. Very little wind.
Their Pine Quad was down. Didn't matter in the evening as the crowds were not creating much in the way of lift-lines, but I imagine the vacation-saturday daytime crowds made for some pretty big lines at the triple. According to their website the lift will be down today too.
ROTE was Lower Kancamangus. They must of made snow recently. It really had excellent cover and the occasional groomer was making a pass on the trail getting to the East side making for a strip of buttery goodness. Every trial had an occasional skied off spot or two, but overall conditions were very good. Parmalees and Riley's Run were super-fun too. Only trail that was really icy was Upper Haggett's.
Probably last trip to Shawnee as we will be hitting Saddleback mostly for the rest of the season. Good stuff at Shawnee!
