I had a few hours of freedom and I decided I'd head over to Snip instead of my normal ride at Case. The last time I went to Snip I was on skis, so its been a while. What a great place to ride - though you really have to ignore the MX damage, its bad, really bad, but if you just ride and forget about it, its a nice place to get a good ride in (incidentally we saw an MXer at Case on the blue trail today, he blasted by us, but we heard a hiker lay into him good - not sure how he got him to stop!).
I did a good 2.5 hour standard loop at Snip starting over at Hopkins Road.
The sun was dropping as I hit the top of the ridge on the way back and figured I'd grab a few shots of the rocks up there - some really nice stuff and more to exploit. I gotta work on that.
A few pics - they would be of the bigger rollers, but I can't hit the shutter and get in position in 10 seconds. Hell even getting on the smaller stuff is a freaking challenge. Sometime I'm going to bring my video camera and take a vid of me getting a shot set up - I'm sure its comical. Typically I'm running to the bike counting out loud so I know when the shutter is going to go.
