Sherburne/Tux lately?

Anyone venture up Tuckerman lately? Just wondering what coverage may be like in both the ravine & on the Sherbie. Contemplating heading there in a week or two.

ghastly photo of the Sherburne posted on MWAC's instagram the other day. ice slides and bare grass/rock.

today they showed the north gullies with only a sliver of snow in them

their instagram feed is extremely useful for up to date tuck's conditions.

worth downloading for skiing stuff alone. its the only social media platform which doesn't make me want to die. its pretty apolitical and just about sharing stoke. you avoid the horror of facebook/twitter.

Give it a week or so and should all be filled in nicely. Nice cold (not arctic) and snowy pattern ahead.

Agreed, instagram is very useful for checking conditions. You can search by location and basically get real time reports, or follow someone who only posts photos of Tucks, like the Mount Washington Avalanche Center.
