I had a weird dream a few days ago that it snowed! There were tracks made by skiiers in my backyard even though nobody skiied in my backyard. I thought about going skiing the next weekend, but the forecast called for 90 degree weather and it was June so I wasn't sure if the ski areas were even open. I thought about sledding in my backyard, but my dream ended so I'm not sure if I went sledding or not.

About a month ago, I had a dream I was at Sugarbush for it's May Closing Day. Unfortunatley, I arrived at about 3:40, which was 20 minutes before the lifts stopped spinning in this dream. When I arrived, I boarded the gondola which actually took me to I-89. I demanded the gondola driver to turn around at the next interchange which he did. I arrived back at Sugarbush at 3:55. I couldn't put my skis on!! My dream ended so I'm not sure I was able to put my skis on and catch the chair.

I had two ski dreams last night. The first was I was on the East Side at Greek Peak with a friend. My friend went down Mars Hill while I went in Alsos Glade. The trees were spaced out much further than they actually are. I was making large and very fast GS turns in the glade and I jumped off several lips. At the end, I was getting reckless but I didn’t fall. I got in control afterwards and headed over to for Arethusa Way. A ski patroller was at the top punching holes in passes for those who headed for the trail. I was telling her I was sorry, and she said it was ok; meanwhile, she still punched a hole in my season pass  and while I was telling her this, I watched as my friend went down the lower section of Mars Hill. Yet, I was allowed to go on the trail anyways and in this dream, the trail was groomed and the steep section was much shorter than it is (and the steep section is short in reality). She drove me back up in a car and I realized that I had to leave the ski area soon. I asked her what time it and realized that I may be late, so I asked her to go faster. She did and I kept looking at the speedometer and as I was looking, she told me “I’m going as fast as I can.” I told her Poseidon (the trail leading back to the regular side) was boring and she drove me down that trail. I got there just on time but as I was throwing out wrappers and trash, I spilled milk and ended up having to clean that up.

The second one was it was late June and the middle and upper mountain at Wildcat was still covered in snow and people were hiking up and skiing down. The thing was it was facing the same direction as Tuckerman Ravine was.

i had one last night. wasn't really a dream but more of a vivid memory while i was sleeping. a couple of days before the us open at stratton we had the whole burton A team in town. we decided we needed to show the westcoast boys that you have to be a bad ass to hang in the east.

so we got to the mountain and split up into a few groups. we had jim rippey in our group. took him for a bench run and he was surprised how tight the trees where, but he was hanging. so we decided to do a hike up to the chin to get some shots up there. so as we are hiking up jim looks up and says has anybody droped the cliff to our left i was like not as far as i know because theres no way to get enought speed to clear the face. its not straight cliff it was more of a super steep ledge. he has the great idea to have to people push him off the top. we all laughed and he said he was serrious.

we get all set up. a couple of cameras and mandatory safety meeting. the photog yells for him to go for it. as we see him comming to the lip we all know he has no where near enough speed. the crazy bastard does a late 180 on to the face and rides it out. everyone was speechless. he rides up takes his goggle off and you could see the fear in his eyes. the next thing out of his mouth was "i think i pee'd a little". everyone laughed. we finished the hike up to the to chin and what was one of the best runs i have ever had of the top down to the road with 10 of the best riders i have ever know.

what a great memory to relive.

I’ve been having these ski dreams every other night:

I had a dream two nights ago I was night skiing at Berkshire East with a few friends. I headed for the West Quad, and I had to crawl through a tunnel to access it and in one section it was extremely tight to, and I could barely fit through it. When I got off the quad, I saw my friends who were heading for Exhibition, and I went on that trail as well but didn’t ski with them. I was making big GS turns and there were several kickers that I went off flawlessly. I headed for the quad again, but this time, I had more trouble going through the tunnel. I saw a different set of friends in the tunnel and I was telling them “Berkshire East is the best.” When I went through the tight section, I left my poles behind but my friends gave them to me after the tight section. When I finally approached the chairlift, I waited for my friends as I wanted to ride up with them. Instead, John Kerry came and I asked him “are you John Kerry” and he said yes. I tried to shake his hand, but he said something bad (I forgot what). My dream ended afterwards.

I had another ski dream last night. There was a freak snowstorm in July, well just a couple of inches, so I went to some unknown closed ski area and did a bunch of runs. Obviously I would have had to earn my turns but in my dream I was at the top for each run, with no recollection of getting to the top. It was kind of disappointing to wake up and find out it was hot outside.

I had a great ski dream the other night. We had gotten a freak October snowstorm of over a foot, and I was ripping up laps at Blue Mt. Funny thing was, I only was skiing one trail, over and over again

I need snow...

I figured I'd find this thread because I've had two skiing dreams this month. The last one was last night. In both of them I was having a great time skiing and then I realized what time of year it was. In the first one I said "I can't believe I'm skiing on September 1st." and last night I said to my wife, who I was skiing with, "I can't believe I'm skiing in Jersey in September". Both times it was very dissapointing when I woke up and it realized it was a dream and it was going to be in the 80's that day.
