ski sundown jan 14- 2009

cold,

snow was machine groomed, ice and frozen in the bumps

Here is a quick sundown report:

I was planning on a quick hitter today, got to the mtn right around 3 30 pm expected the place to be mobbed with after school kids, but the place was quite empty, a lot of schools canceled due to the cold weather, and boy was it cold, But not unbearable or anything. I skied temptor the top bumps were icy, the middle section has returned to a frozen sheet of ice and the lower bumps were like frozen cement with a lot of icy on the backside. Some decent lines on the top part before the jump, but after that most of them are just push piles right now, hopefully we get a little snow tonight and that will help to cover everything up. Exhibition bumps were about the same as they have been all week. There is a great wall ride on the flat of temptor!!! The landing of the jump will need some work if were plan on hitting it tomorrow I cant say I didn’t enjoy my self, getting colder as the night went on! Stay warm

No kidding. Usually what we consider pretty good, most would call very icy. If MrMagic is calling them icy, then believe it. Yikes. Tuesday was warm and the snow was pretty soft even at 10 pm. The cold must've really solidified everything.
