Still bummed that the Meatheads are done with their annual films. That is a major blow.

Agreed. I have looked forward to their new films each year more than TGR, Level 1 or any of the others.
Why did they say that was the case? They were getting too old / having families / etc.?

The website is advertising a web series by them.
That's just not the same. DJAK pointed that out as well, but he (diplomatically) admitted that the mainstay films are no more. As to why: said that they were getting old, having families, etc.
They can try to downplay it but this is still a major change.
