I think I need a chemical shower and some brushes!!!!
It seems we've found common ground in defending blind attacks (that are encouraged by Moderators because they know the person attacking) against ski shops

The girl had every right to express herself. I can't believe I'm reading this. You fight and fight for people say whatever they want, whenever they want. It's my belief that's that's your job in life.
......until, you disagree with what they say. Then you want to silence them. Hippie Gestapo I guess.

DHS is a thief... He came in robbed my house and rapped my dog..

I'm allowed to say that... And you can't do anything about it..
there is a line... she crossed it.... thats mine and even your bosses opinion...
I tell you I'd never suggest a friend to advertise here knowing what you stand for... which is your friends... And not the populace...
your turn
keep on going with the sensationalism
dude, In her mind, she got screwed. She's got every right to express that on a PUBLIC FORUM.
Delete her thread? You're asking for censorship in a thread decrying censorship?
Now I've seen it all.
Agreed. But there's no personal attacks allowed here either and the masses were about to lynch SwampDog. I agree with the decision to lock the thread before it got way out of hand--especially since one person was operating under the assumption of what is, in the end, a mistaken identity. Not really fair to crucify a woman when she isn't whom she's being treated as.Right, and the ski shop has every right to know what kinda crap is being said about them on a public forum.

NOBODY CAN EVER BE TRULY OBJECTIVE. Those of you who love to carry that banner every time there's a disagreement are living in la-la land. It's impossible. We all have our own motives, our own natures, to which we must be true. People are never able to be completely objective. In fact, those of you who gather under this banner are being subjective as well, as you are always attacking the same people and assuming the same from them.
I haven't met Swamp but my wife has, from what I understand she is a good person, but I don't think we are getting all the info here. Having been on both sides of the situation, 99/100 cases, the shop will try to either stay to their word (IF that is actually what WAS said) or find a place in the middle that was satisfactory for both sides. Right now, this is a lose/lose scenario, I am not sure that anything can be salvaged in this particular deal.
Really?
So it's ok for her to virtually lynch a ski shop...? Really a personal attack in the sense that it's where a person works.. And we are in a recession..
But it's not OK for a few of us to tell not to...?
If you go by Andy's definition of personal attacks, it's limited to the people who are members participating on the board. If you want to make a broad definition encompassing ski shops as a business in the industry, then out with that should go the Killington-vs-Snow-vs-Okemo-vs everything else, my mountain is better than your mountain threads. Because after all, we are in a recession. And while we're at it, celebrities should be out, too, since those are people being attacked.
In the past, we've been open to people sharing bad experiences as well as good with ski shops. How else are we to know the level of service? Yes, the shop should defend itself, but throwing a tantrum over the matter is hardly the solution that the situation required.

Just because the original thread was locked doesn't mean the shop can't come here and defend itself--though I find it interesting that the outcry was for such, yet no such attempt has been made as of yet.
