Welcome the invention of skis with Twintips.

Why slide down the hill on one twintip board when you can slide down the hill on two twintip boards

Because you can blast through pow, crud, and chop at full speed and never worry about your skis going in different directions and wrecking your legs

My unscientific impression is that you can really beat yourself up learning to board (my shoulders will never be completely right again), but once you reach a certain level of proficiency you're less likely to get badly injured. Even a good skier can lose control in a split second and go shooting in an arbitrary direction.

That said, it's not a contest. May we all be safe out there and make it down unharmed.
