Saw a folder in the gallery named this. What is it? Is there free lift tickets involved? Why didnt we have it last year? Are we having it this year?

As usual, Brian is the master thread finder. I added a poll to your post Austin. If there's enough interest, I'll run it again this year.bvibert said:I'm assuming you mean the one from March 2004? There were tickets involved in that one. If you notice there wasn't much interest so I imagine thats why it hasn't been tried again. Maybe if enough people show interest Greg will consider running the contest again...

(I'd be fairly likely to submit in the latter case and not particularly likely to submit in the former.)
awf170 said:Maybe a rule you cant enter if you ever have taken photography classes before, because anyone with experiance would probably give us wannabes no chance.
Ah shucks, it wasn't that hard to find. It was before my time here though, so that has to count for something. Although, IIRC, I ended up skiing on those tickets anyway since the winner couldn't use them and my wife was the only other entry...Greg said:As usual, Brian is the master thread finder. Does that mean that I'm disqualified because I took a photography class in the eight grade like 14 years ago?
Yeah sorry guys - you would be exempt, but I'll likely submit a pic too just for fun...bvibert said:I voted that I would enter a pic, even if Moderators aren't allowed to win...
Disagreed. If someone has put in the time and effort to learn how to take truly great pictures, then they should be rewarded for their efforts. There's no way to police this anyway. Additionally, this will bring the quality of the entries up a bit. Don't worry Austin, you'll be a contender with some of the pics you've taken, I'm sure...awf170 said:No I guess not, but I mean people who have taken them recently and actaully know what they are doing with photography. I'm not sure what to do, but I just saying that it would be pretty cheap for someone with a lot photography skills to enter because they would pretty much easily win. Maybe anyone who has taken a serious class in the last 10 years. :-? I dunno, just an idea.

What  Are you like a pro photog or something? If you are you shouldnt be able to enter because thats just cheap. Also if you are I wanna see some pics

Well, the entries would be limited to the Northeast...awf170 said:On a side note, this photo contest has to be in march so I can get my photos from lake louise and kicking horse in
