seriously, even the ski industry regards this size as a mid-fat. unless that has changed with all these 100mm+ waist skis coming out! my "skinny" ski is my trusty replacement volkl p50 motion which i think is 63mm under foot. love this bad boy for ripping groomers, bumps, and non-powder tree action. though it really is only going to get any use when it is a groomers only day. i wouldn't invest much money in this type of ski unless you plan to get out in the conditions you are suggesting more than a little bit. scavenge up something older and used, it isn't worth pimping new boards for something you will barely use. if you are beant on getting something newer, try demoing some slalom race skis too.
