I find it hilarious that he always has to say his maps confirmed (when half the time they don’t) and throws subtle shade every post. Also the NWS does the exact same service and they are the best meteorologists in the country. So who should you. follow the amateur who thinks free public info should make him six figures a year or the professionals trained to do this exact thing. I’m sure 70% of the page doesn’t even know how to use anything beyond their phones weather app. The dude had a post telling you how to read a snow stake, that tells you enough…
The facebook page is a gaper cesspool (cult) and if you say anything at all critical (even if constructive) you get banned.

But didn’t you know we don’t chase powder we chase sleet…

What will happen to him if he can afford to pay rent to his mom to live in her basement?
He'll probobly start blaming his Mom, and say that she was wrong when he made the claim thta they wouldn't run out of toilet paper the day after trudging through a sleet storm to 7-11 to buy 5 day old sushi, and she told him that the quarter roll that was there wouldn't be enough!

In polite society, before you sue you reach out and try to resolve the DISagreement. Butt, if you know you're going to win why bother. Reaching out could be like giving information to the enemy.

Having been on the receiving end of some of his discourse when he banned me for noting that a couple of years ago the snowmakers at Killington had made enough snow and received a positive snow control to host the world cup races when he had posted that he doubted they'd be able to do it a few days before, and numerous other things when he was so adamant about the accuracy of his wind hold maps for Mount Snow when myself, literally on the mountain on some of those days wasn't experiencing what he had predicted (and he wasn't there) , I get the distinct impression that when confronted with reality that goes against his narrative that it is almost impossible for him to admit that he was wrong about something.

My hunch is if he's naive enough to let this case get infront of a judge from what it seems like, and he looses, that he will have a very tough time accepting the judges ruling and will have 1001 excuses as to why he's right and the judge is wrong. And I am guessing that the owners of the shop in KIllington bringing the suit, tried to settle this in a amicable, non court way, with no luck, and they get that the name association is a liability, not a bonus for their business

Love the information Matt provides for free
Put up with his requests for donations
Skeptical that having a trademark in a local ski shop gives one right to prevent one from use similar name as part of a non commercial Facebook page, or that there are any damages they could collect. Regardless of merits or lack thereof, he should clearly consider new name if he launches a fee charging site in light of issues raised.

I'm not sure if this will ever occupy a courtroom, but if it does, it will totally be worth being in attendance...just for the entertainment value

View attachment 56658Meanwhile back in the delusional world of Matt Bramble, he’s asking for more money.

70K followers? How did he come up with that number? His FB group only has 50K followers (and how many of those are even active real people?)

Non-commercial? He sells shirts and stickers already...I wouldn't consider that "non-commercial". Plus he's already announced that he plans to charge for content on his website. Although I also don't think even if it was truly non-commercial that you can still use someone else's trademarked name.

im assuming he's counting followers on all platforms. i think he has Instagram. not acknowledging that many of these people are the same people on more than one platform.
