JH is currently getting hit with over 3' of new snow. Teton Pass is closed for the forseeable future.
We were suppose to be skiing there today but haven't made it yet... had to circle Atlanta yesterday morning because of thunderstorms and by the time we landed our connected flight to JH had left the gate... that one was diverted to SLC from what we were told due to Jackon being closed... Atlanta was shut down for a time yesterday too but eventually we flew to Dallas in the afternoon which is where we spent the night... tentatively we're scheduled to fly out at 5 tonight so hopefully we'll be enjoying the new snow tomorrow, "fingers crossed"

Its funny how many people do not know where to get real beer in Utah..State liquor stores have always sold the real stuff..its just expensive. Park City has many microbrew houses where you can get as trashed as you want...trust me...try the imperial stout..at 10% alky...

+1. Not hard to get at all.

Lol you two crack me up. Hey, should I take a taxi to a state liquor stores? Wasn't that important. I happened to have an appointment on Friday that took me by one. Fleming's certainly had a good selection as did the New Yorker and Red Rock. Great food too. Next time I will bring my Go Pro with me so can call me a Jong while I'm drinking my beer. 2knees loves the Go Pro

Today's snow was amazing! The drive not so much!

yes it was, pretty deep in the woods. Solitude was as busy as I've ever seen it. Going tomorrow for the season opener of the paradise chair and lightning ridge at pow mow. Every time I come here I ask myself why be anywhere else, Utah delivers!

I saw, as we were sitting in traffic on 210 up to LCC, that Solitude lot was full and they were telling folks to take UTA  So much for the whole "nobody skis there" line. Snowbird was nuts. Snow was crazy deep and it was fun. Lots of smiles. Lifts did not open until 1:30. The line for Gadzoom was easily 20-30 minutes long. It was worth it though. So great and can't wait for more snow! :daffy:

This last series of storms was actually quite moist and warm, so the snow was not too dry, but by New England Standards, yes it was powder. This is actually good snow that will stick and make a great base...assuming that it can adhere to the terrible base that we have (lots of avalanche).

Today pow mow opened paradise chair, lightning ridge and powder country for the first time this year. That's gotta be 2-3000 acres with very few people. Bottomless untracked all day long and it dumped like crazy all afternoon. Easily top ten days of my entire life, going back tomorrrow!
