Nice stoke! Does she live in a yurt?

They live down in Boise, but they have some land up in the mountains. They finished the deck this summer (40x30 on a steep slope, quite the endeavor), and they had to rush to put the yurt together this weekend before the winter hits for real. I'm impressed, with a little help, they got it mostly assembled in a single weekend.

Here are a few pics from before the snow:

Thats pretty cool. Was it a kit or did they make it look that good by hand?

Yeah, I'm impressed. They studied some kits but then built the wooden framing from scratch (they did pre-assemble the pieces back at home, though). They bought the skin from a yurt-maker.

That's a good amount of early season snow!

I was talking to a buddy in Breckenridge yesterday, and he said it was snowing out. I guess it has been snowing on and off a lot there the past few days.
