Cooler..dryer air is moving in..it looks like snowmaking could begin tonight at dozens of ski areas from North Carolina to Maine. Is your local hill planning on blowing snow tonight? It's amazing that 4 days from now Killington is re-opening..imagine 50 years ago...Christmas skiing wasn't even a sure thing..

Word. Rumor is Sundown might start tomorrow night. Trying to get confirmation on that. Killington on Friday is going to be a rad way to open the ski season!

Sugarloaf's going to make snow tonight. Plan is to cover Tote rd from top of superquad to bottom by friday-- no guarantees all will pan out as planned but we'll do our damndest to make it happen.

Sugarbush will have its guns :flame: back on later today at both mountains and trying for top to bottom at Lincoln Peak by this Saturday. The next two week trend looks great for snowmaking! After the warm and the rain it is nice to see that the trails where we made snow earlier this week are still white.

I think it's pretty much a given that anyone who has enough snowmaking to actually cover some trails, and typically opens before December will have em on from tonight on thru this week. :-D The drop in temps is perfect for Turkey day openings.
