Just back from Vermont and looking forward to returning next weekend. Gonna to be a relatively warm week so I'm looking for some input from areas around the state. I was at Killington and Pico this past weekend and things were not terrible there. Yesterday at Pico I don't think the temps got out of the 40's so damage was minimal. Would be interested to hear how some other areas are fairing. Am thinking about Mt Ellen Sat, and maybe Mt Snow Sunday. Any info on how those(or any other) mtns were this past weekend and how people think they will fair this week would be appreciated.

I was just going to start a similar thread. Heading to Jay for Friday/Saturday skiing and am worried about the warm temps and rain.

Groomers should hold up but trees may be another story =(

My feeling is the further north you go the better. There has been more snow and the snow pack should hold up a little nicer up north than Killington/Pico.

I would go to Mt. Ellen over Mt. Snow if I were you!

Mt Ellen is $17 on Friday and $30 every other day. Tons of snow at higher elevation faces northeast and should get through this week and be fine next weekend.

I have to fly out west for work so I'm taking a few days off to ski Utah with trailboss. Snowbird, Alta and Deer Valley are on the hit list. I'm hoping to bring the snowmonster weather luck with me. I'll be wearing a green "Believe in Boston" shirt to represent the hometown during the St. Paddy's Day festivities. They do drink real beer in Utah, right?

meeting some epic skiers Thursday at MRG, Friday at Stowe and Saturday at Jay. Should be some good spring conditions and I know both Stowe and Jay have good bases..thinking MRG may be a little sketchy but we shall see.

Replace Deer Valley with Snowbasin or Pow Mow not that there's anything wrong with DV. Trust me on this one, I know what you want to ski...

Working my way north this week. Tomorrow early morning drive to K. Wed. I'll be at Lincoln Peak (Sugarbush). I have a few Vt. passes I need to burn even though I can get cheap employee discount tics. Thurs Stowe for $43 ticket (ski club appreciation day). Fri Jay using another Vt. pass. Sat. undecided, might just drive home.

I don't have computer access when in VT. so I won't be able to post a report. Heck I don't even own a cell phone.

Anyhow this weekend for me should prove to be the best of the year. Very very strong storm rolling in tonight and dropping several feet over the next week. The 5 day precip is impressive!!!!

So I won't be drinking all that much. I will sub that with copius amounts of sticky and earwax hash. Drinking makes me hungover!
