Stealth attack to circumvent the likely stealth attack that Sunday River was going to try and pull on them tomorrow ;)

Where are you seeing that Sunday River is even in the game? Their silence is deafening.

Based on memory, SR has pulled off a couple of unexpected early openings. Since K has been aggressive recently it's easy to imagine SR trying to quietly beat them to the punch.

Didn't quite cut the mustard though. From SR's site:

"We’ve got a nice little weekend planned. Let’s just cut to the chase: we’re opening for the weekend. Huzzah!

Thanks to snowmaking, we’re planning to open T2 and Upper Punch for advanced skiing and riding this Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27. Open terrain will be mid-mountain only, which means that loading and downloading will be via the Locke Mountain Triple. This lift opens at 8am and uploads the last chair at 3pm with downloading available up until the lift closes at 3:30pm. Come Monday, we'll temporarily suspend operations until the following weekend. That's been their thing in the past during a few seasons when both they and K were competing to see who could open up first. You'd hear that SR was making some snow, and then quiet, and then BAM the press release saying that they're open (usually a few hours before K would spin their lifts)

Who cares - they are both open to the public on the same day! The passholders thing on a work day kind of sucks unless you live nearby! To me they are closed until any one can go there!

I am just psyched that the resorts are opening! Not that it really matters since I have other commitments! :sadwalk: But the following weekend is a go! Then I can compare the two!
